What is the opportunity?
As a Settlements Analyst, you will be responsible for settlement processing of CAD and USD equity trades, while providing professional attentive and accurate service to our customers. You will respond to clients by identifying needs and demonstrate the four essentials of client care at all times, ensuring clients receive the optimal service at a level that meets their needs.
What will you do?
Process CDS and DTC Settlement functions
Balance/reconcile positions, entries, and accounts accurately and on a timely basis
Ensure regulatory requirements are met
Update databases accurately daily
Prepare accurate, timely and compliant documents/reports
Work with other departments or platforms to reconcile portfolios, investigate daily trades, or process transactions
Resolve client complaints, escalating to manager as required and following up to ensure results
Maintain effective internal and external working relationships
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
Bachelor’s Degree or College Diploma (preferably in Finance)
Demonstrated organizational skills and ability to multi-task
Demonstrated ability to meet tight deadlines
Demonstrated experience working with Excel and macros (don’t need to create them)
Nice-to-have
Successful completion of the Canadian Securities Course (CSC)
1-2 years Investment/Securities Industry experience
Experience working in any Operations role
