Terms of Service

Welcome to Finance Careers Portal | Climb+. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of our job board. By accessing or using Finance Careers Portal | Climb+, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

Finance Careers Portal | Climb+ is operated by Finance Careers Portal | Climb+ (“we”, “us”, “our”). If you are using Finance Careers Portal | Climb+ on behalf of a company or other legal entity, you are agreeing to these Terms for that entity.

1. Who can use Finance Careers Portal | Climb+

You may use Finance Careers Portal | Climb+ if you are at least 18 years old and capable of entering into a legally binding agreement. By using the platform, you confirm that you meet these requirements.

Finance Careers Portal | Climb+ provides a platform for:

Job seekers to discover opportunities and submit applications
Employers and recruiters to post job listings and manage applications

Where Finance Careers Portal | Climb+ offers messaging, employers and job seekers can also message each other about an application (see Section 5).

2. Job seekers

2.1 Creating a profile and applying

You may create a profile and apply for positions listed on Finance Careers Portal | Climb+. You are responsible for:

Providing accurate, complete, and up-to-date information in your profile and applications
Ensuring that any CV, cover letter, or supporting material you submit is your own and does not infringe any third party’s rights
Keeping your account credentials secure and notifying us promptly at team@coachingbyronenjobs.com if you believe your account has been compromised

When you apply for a position, your application data — including your name, contact details, CV, and any other materials you submit — will be shared with the employer or recruiter who posted the listing. By submitting an application, you consent to this sharing.

2.3 No guarantee of employment

Finance Careers Portal | Climb+ connects job seekers with employers. We do not guarantee that you will receive interviews, offers, or employment as a result of using our platform. All hiring decisions are made solely by the employer.

3. Employers and recruiters

3.1 Posting job listings

If you post job listings on Finance Careers Portal | Climb+, you agree that all listings will:

Accurately describe the role, requirements, and working conditions
Comply with all applicable employment, anti-discrimination, and advertising laws in your jurisdiction
Not be misleading, fraudulent, or designed to harvest personal data for purposes other than genuine recruitment

3.2 Your responsibilities as data controller

When job seekers apply to your listings, you become the data controller for their personal data under applicable data protection law. You agree to:

Handle applicant data in accordance with applicable data protection law, including the GDPR and UK GDPR where applicable
Use applicant data only for the purpose of evaluating applications for the listed role
Not share applicant data with third parties without the applicant’s consent
Retain applicant data only for as long as necessary for the recruitment process
Respond promptly to any data subject requests (such as requests for access or erasure) from applicants

3.3 Compliance with employment law

You are solely responsible for ensuring that your job listings and recruitment practices comply with all applicable employment, equal opportunity, and anti-discrimination laws in your jurisdiction.

4. Prohibited conduct

You must not use Finance Careers Portal | Climb+ to:

Post false, misleading, or fraudulent content
Discriminate against applicants or post listings that violate equal opportunity laws
Harvest personal data for purposes other than legitimate recruitment
Scrape, copy, or reproduce content from Finance Careers Portal | Climb+ without our permission
Transmit spam, malware, or any harmful or disruptive content
Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the platform
Impersonate any person or entity

We reserve the right to remove content that violates these Terms and to suspend or terminate accounts that engage in prohibited conduct.

4.1 Content moderation

We review content on Finance Careers Portal | Climb+ to ensure it complies with these Terms and applicable law. Our approach includes:

Human review — reports of prohibited or illegal content are assessed by our team
Automated checks — we may use automated systems to detect spam or other clearly prohibited material
Removal — content that violates these Terms or applicable law may be removed without prior notice
Account action — repeated or serious violations may result in account suspension or termination under Section 11

If you believe content on Finance Careers Portal | Climb+ is illegal or in serious violation of these Terms, you can report it by contacting us at team@coachingbyronenjobs.com.

5. Messaging

Where Finance Careers Portal | Climb+ offers messaging, an employer can message a job seeker about an application the employer has received, and the job seeker can reply. Depending on how Finance Careers Portal | Climb+ is set up, job seekers may also be able to start a conversation. Messages are text only; file attachments are not currently supported.

5.1 Using messaging

Messaging is for communication about the job application a conversation relates to. You must not use it to:

Send spam, or messages unrelated to the application
Ask a job seeker to pay a fee, buy equipment or training, or provide bank, payment or identity-document details as a condition of being considered for a role
Advertise a role that does not exist, or impersonate an employer, recruiter or any other person
Harass, threaten, abuse or unlawfully discriminate against anyone
Send malware, phishing links, or anything designed to obtain login details or other personal data by deception
Collect or use personal data for any purpose other than the recruitment process the application relates to

Limits apply to how many messages and new conversations can be sent in a given period.

If you are an employer, messages you send and receive form part of the applicant data you are responsible for under Section 3.2.

Stay safe. A genuine employer will not ask you to pay to be considered for a job. Never pay a fee, or send bank details or identity documents, because someone has offered you a job in a message. You do not need to share sensitive information, such as health information, through messaging unless it is necessary.

5.2 Blocking and reporting

You can block the other person in a conversation. Messages from a person you have blocked are not delivered to you.

You can report a message you think is fraudulent, abusive or otherwise breaks these Terms. Employers can use the report option in their account. Job seekers can use the report link in the notification email for that message. When you report a message, a copy of the recent messages in the conversation is kept with the report so that it can be reviewed. Reports are reviewed by us and by Job Boardly, our platform provider.

Messages are also automatically checked for common signs of recruitment fraud, such as a request to pay a fee. A match is flagged for review by a person. It does not block or change the message, and no decision about your account is made automatically.

We may act on a report under Section 4 and Section 11, and where we do, Section 11.2 applies.

5.3 Notifications

When you receive a message, we send you an email that includes a short preview of the message and a link to the conversation. Replies to that email are not read or delivered, so please reply on Finance Careers Portal | Climb+. If you mark a notification email as spam, Job Boardly may stop sending you message notification emails, including on other job boards built with its platform. Your conversations are not affected.

5.4 Who can read messages

Messages can be read by the people in the conversation. We do not routinely monitor or read messages. We, and Job Boardly as our platform provider, may access a conversation only to review a report, to provide support (including by accessing your account for that purpose), to investigate suspected fraud or abuse, or where the law requires it. Our Privacy Policy explains how message data is handled and how long it is kept.

If you delete your account, the messages you wrote are deleted, but the other person in the conversation keeps their own copy of what they wrote. If messaging is switched off on Finance Careers Portal | Climb+, existing conversations remain readable until they are deleted.

6. Content ownership

You retain ownership of all content you submit to Finance Careers Portal | Climb+, including job listings, application materials, and profile information (“Your Content”).

By submitting Your Content to Finance Careers Portal | Climb+, you grant Finance Careers Portal | Climb+ a limited, non-exclusive licence to host, store, display, and use Your Content solely for the purpose of operating the platform and providing the services to you.

You represent and warrant that:

You have the right to submit Your Content
Your Content does not infringe any third party’s intellectual property, privacy, or other rights
Your Content complies with all applicable laws

7. Privacy and data protection

Your use of Finance Careers Portal | Climb+ is subject to our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Please read our Privacy Policy carefully to understand how we collect, use, and protect your personal data.

Finance Careers Portal | Climb+ is built on the Job Boardly platform, operated by Glacier Systems Pty Ltd (Australia). Personal data submitted through Finance Careers Portal | Climb+ is processed by Job Boardly as a data processor on behalf of Finance Careers Portal | Climb+. Further details are set out in our Privacy Policy.

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA) or United Kingdom (UK), you have additional rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and UK GDPR respectively. These are described in our Privacy Policy.

8. Intellectual property

All intellectual property rights in the Finance Careers Portal | Climb+ platform, including its design, software, and branding, belong to Finance Careers Portal | Climb+ or its licensors (including Job Boardly, operated by Glacier Systems Pty Ltd). You must not copy, reproduce, or create derivative works from the platform without our express written permission.

9. Disclaimers

Finance Careers Portal | Climb+ is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:

We do not guarantee that the platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure at all times
We are not responsible for the accuracy, completeness, or legality of any job listings posted by employers
We are not a party to any employment contract or arrangement between job seekers and employers
We are not liable for any hiring or rejection decisions made by employers

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Finance Careers Portal | Climb+ shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or relating to your use of Finance Careers Portal | Climb+, including loss of data, loss of revenue, or loss of opportunity.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of Finance Careers Portal | Climb+ shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) £100 / €100 / USD $100.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where it cannot lawfully be limited, including liability for fraud or death and personal injury caused by negligence.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to Finance Careers Portal | Climb+ if you breach these Terms or use the platform in a way that causes harm to others or to us.

You may stop using Finance Careers Portal | Climb+ at any time. To delete your account or your content, please contact us at team@coachingbyronenjobs.com.

11.1 Dormant accounts

To comply with applicable data protection law, including the storage limitation principle under the GDPR and UK GDPR, we retain personal data only for as long as necessary.

If your account has had no activity for 12 months, we will send a warning email to your registered email address notifying you that your account has been flagged as dormant and is scheduled for deletion. If you do not log in within 30 days of that notification, your account and all associated personal data will be permanently deleted.

“Activity” means any login, profile update, job application, job posting, or other action taken through your account.

You can prevent deletion at any time before the 30-day response window closes by logging in. Once your account has been deleted, we are unable to recover your data.

11.2 Statement of reasons

Where we remove content, restrict your access to features, or suspend or terminate your account, we will provide you with a statement of reasons that includes:

The facts and circumstances on which the decision was based
Whether any automated tools were used in reaching the decision
Where applicable, information about how you may challenge the decision

This statement will be provided at or before the time the restriction takes effect, unless we are prohibited from doing so by applicable law.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are material, we will notify you by email or by posting a notice on Finance Careers Portal | Climb+. Continued use of Finance Careers Portal | Climb+ after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Finance Careers Portal | Climb+ is established. Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that jurisdiction.

14. Ranking, promoted listings and advertising

14.1 Promoted listings

Finance Careers Portal | Climb+ may offer employers the ability to pay to promote their job listings above other listings. Promoted listings are displayed more prominently than non-promoted listings and are clearly labelled as “Promoted” or “Sponsored”.

Non-promoted listings are displayed in reverse chronological order (most recent first) unless otherwise indicated.

14.2 Advertising

Finance Careers Portal | Climb+ may display advertising provided through Google Ads or similar third-party advertising services. Advertisements are clearly labelled as “Ad” or “Sponsored” and are distinct from job listings and other organic content. The advertiser responsible for each advertisement is identified by the advertising platform in accordance with applicable law.

15. Digital Services Act

If Finance Careers Portal | Climb+ qualifies as a hosting service or online platform under Regulation (EU) 2022/2065 (the “Digital Services Act” or “DSA”), the following provisions apply to recipients of the service located in the EU.

15.1 Reporting illegal content

If you become aware of content on Finance Careers Portal | Climb+ that you believe to be illegal under EU law or the law of any EU member state, you may submit a notice to us at:

Your notice should include:

A sufficiently substantiated explanation of why you believe the content is illegal
A clear indication of the location of the content (e.g. the URL or listing title)
Your name and contact details (unless you wish to submit the notice anonymously)

We will acknowledge receipt of your notice, take action where appropriate, and inform you of our decision and the reasons for it.

15.2 Challenging our decisions

If you disagree with a decision we have made in response to a notice of illegal content, or a decision to remove content or restrict your account, you may challenge it by contacting us at team@coachingbyronenjobs.com, setting out the grounds for your challenge.

15.3 EU legal representative (underlying platform provider)

For transparency, Glacier Systems Pty Ltd — which operates the Job Boardly platform on which Finance Careers Portal | Climb+ is built — has appointed DataRep as its EU legal representative under Article 13 of the DSA. DataRep can be contacted at digitalrequest@datarep.com (quote “Job Boardly” in the subject line), via the online webform at www.datarep.com/data-request, or by post at DataRep, 77 Camden Street Lower, Dublin, D02 XE80, Ireland.

If Finance Careers Portal | Climb+ qualifies as a hosting service or online platform under the DSA and is established outside the EU, Finance Careers Portal | Climb+ is responsible for designating its own EU legal representative under Article 13 of the DSA in respect of its own activities. The DataRep appointment described above applies only to Glacier Systems Pty Ltd’s role as platform provider.
