Tax Intern, Corporate Finance - 2026 Four Seasons Corporate Summer Internship

Role Summary:

The role will assist us with our annual compliance cycle, data gathering and analytics, and surplus and information return preparation. This position is ideal for students pursuing accounting or tax who are eager to gain practical experience in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
 

Key Activities:

  • Gather financial information, historical tax returns, and supporting documentation for Four Seasons foreign subsidiaries.
  • Assist with surplus and adjusted cost base calculations used in foreign affiliate reporting.
  • Prepare small or nil Canadian corporate tax returns (primarily May – June).
  • Support T1134 foreign affiliate reporting data collection, template population and reconciliation (primarily July – August).
  • Assist in preparing supporting working papers for Canadian and international tax filings (i.e., extracting relevant financial information and other data needed).
  • Assist with reviewing withholding tax rates, income tax rates and legislative updates
  • Support projects aimed at improving efficiency and streamlining year-end and compliance processes.
  • Contribute ideas and feedback to help enhance the quality and consistency of tax deliverables.

What You Bring/Key Skills:

  • Previous internship or corporate work experience is a plus, but not required.
  • Strong computer database technical skills. SQL proficiency is an asset.
  • Intermediate proficiency level in MS Office applications that include but are not limited to Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Exposure to tax software (e.g., TaxPrep) is an asset.
  • Strong accounting, analytical, IT skills and research aptitude required.
  • Must be motivated, take initiative and work professionally with all stakeholders at Four Seasons Corporate Office and with worldwide hotels and resort properties.
  • Strong communication, organizational and planning skills are necessary.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work on multiple assignments.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to always maintain strict confidentiality and sign a Confidentiality Agreement.

Student Experience:

  • University student currently enrolled in an undergraduate program in Finance, Accounting, Tax or a Business Administration degree majoring in Accounting.
  • Active participation and/or leadership in student organizations is a plus.

Projected Start Date: May 4, 2026

Projected End Date: August 28, 2026

Hourly Rate: $21.00 – $25.00 CAD (depending on year of study)

All roles will be a Hybrid working model, which will require 3 days per week in the Four Seasons Corporate Office located at 1165 Leslie Street, Toronto, Ontario #LI-Hybrid
