What is the opportunity?

Lead and energize a cross-functional team to harness AI technologies and build elegant operational tools that automate end-to-end business processes and reports. Create intelligent solutions rooted in real business understanding, smart data insights, and process optimization—delivering measurable, scalable wins.

What will you do?

Business Acumen & Opportunity Identification

  • Hunt for high-impact automation opportunities by partnering closely with business stakeholders to really understand what they need, what constraints exist, and what success looks like

  • Turn business opportunities into AI-powered solutions that boost efficiency, improve client experience, and provide better data insights

AI-Powered Solution Development

  • Lead the team in leveraging AI technologies to build intelligent tools that simplify and improve complex processes

  • Optimize workflows and reporting needs by evaluating business priorities across operational tech debt

  • Stay ahead of the curve with AI-driven automation while keeping our eyes on what matters—business outcomes

  • Leverage all available technology- including RBC Assist Pro- to reduce manual touch across all relevant systems/processes and strive for 100% accuracy in all production

Team Leadership & Delivery

  • Build and lead a talented team that positions DI at the leading edge of RBC’s data and AI priorities

  • Ship solutions with velocity that genuinely move the needle on efficiency and give us a competitive edge

What do you need to succeed?

Must haves:

Business Operations & Process Excellence

  • Know how to dig into end-to-end processes, spot where things get messy, and make them better

  • Can translate operational headaches into elegant solutions harnessing the latest AI and automation tools available

Data & Analytics

  • Comfortable working hands-on with business data, analytics, and BI tools

  • Get how data ecosystems, quality, and governance work

AI & Automation

  • Real, hands-on experience (not just reading about it) with AI tools, generative AI, or automation platforms

Stakeholder Management

  • Speak both business and technical fluently—bridge the gap naturally between different worlds, and levels of management

Nice-to-have:

  • Strong grasp of data architecture, quality, governance, and how to leverage data for decision-making

  • Practical knowledge of AI capabilities, limitations, and real-world applications—including generative AI, machine learning, process automation, and responsible AI practices.

  • Solid understanding of solution architecture, project lifecycle management, and agile methodologies
