What You’ll Be Doing

As a member of CIBC’s Identity and Access Lifecycle Services team, you will oversee the Roles and Policy Management Service. You will work closely with stakeholders to understand priorities and execute plans, providing leadership, standards, and best practices as a subject matter expert. You will guide teams from various domains through design, configuration, testing, implementation, and maintenance phases of initiatives and projects involving Roles Based Access Control (RBAC) and Segregation of Duties (SOD) policies.

How You’ll Succeed

  • Identity and Access Governance: Apply advanced knowledge of Identity Access Management approaches, tools, and responsibilities to advise stakeholders within and beyond your area of expertise. 
  • Relationship Building: Establish and nurture relationships with subject matter experts, clients, vendors, and peers, leveraging your expertise to drive collaboration and innovation. 
  • Interpersonal Effectiveness: Use effective approaches and techniques to gain cooperation and support from diverse stakeholders. 
  • Role and Policy Management: Develop and sustain a robust Role and Policy Management practice. Facilitate enterprise-wide discussions to understand business functions and define roles. Collaborate with business and supporting teams to map roles to applications and establish entitlements. Maintain comprehensive records of business roles, associated rules, and processes. Ensure governance and regular verification by Role Owners. 
  • Strategic Leadership: Lead enhancements to security practices, balancing business objectives with information security risks. Continuously improve processes that support the Identity Access Management lifecycle and related documentation. Identify and address emerging IAM requirements through research and engagement with experts in the field. 

Who You Are

  • You can demonstrate 5+ years of experience in IAM and hands-on experience with SailPoint IdentityIQ, specifically in implementing roles and policies. You possess problem-solving skills, root cause analysis abilities, and leadership qualities, along with strong communication, coordination, and presentation skills. You have an automation-driven mindset, lead by example, and are a "big picture" thinker who challenges the status quo and seeks to achieve results in innovative ways.
