We are looking for a Software Engineer - AML - Ai \u0026 Data Platforms, who will work closely with other Software Engineers, Project \u0026 Product Managers, Product Designers, and other internal \u0026 external partners. \\n\\nAI \u0026 Data Platforms (AiDP) is IS\u0026T"s engine for AI-powered innovation. The team brings together data, application development, and machine learning — including generative AI — along with data services and customer success functions, to help IS\u0026T build solutions more efficiently and streamline the adoption and embedding of generative AI across Apple. \\n\\nWhen you join IS\u0026T, you’ll help design and manage systems, frameworks, and apps that countless Apple customers and employees rely on every day. As part of the ACM Platform team, you will design, develop, and operate high-throughput, low-latency distributed services that support more than 1,500 internal users across Apple. You will work closely with engineering, product, fraud analysts, and business partners to build scalable platform capabilities that improve fraud detection and case management.
Design and develop scalable backend services using Java and distributed systems principles.\\nBuild and maintain high-throughput and low latency API’s\\nBuild reliable, scalable, and observable cloud-native services using technologies such as Kubernetes, Kafka, OpenSearch, Solr, and Cassandra.\\nContribute to platform modernization, including service migrations, data routing, ingestion pipelines, and infrastructure improvements.\\nDevelop and enhance deployment automation, CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, performance testing, and operational tooling.\\nTroubleshoot production issues, perform performance tuning, and improve service reliability and operational efficiency.\\nPartner with Product, Architecture, and other engineering teams to translate requirements into well-designed technical solutions.\\nContribute to technical design discussions, code reviews, testing strategies, and engineering best practices.\\nUse AI-assisted development tools and modern engineering practices to improve developer productivity, automation, code quality, and platform innovation.\\nIndependently own features and services while collaborating closely with senior engineers on larger platform initiatives.
B.S. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent professional work experience.\\n4+ years of software engineering experience developing backend or distributed systems.\\nStrong Java development experience, preferably with modern JDK versions\\nHands on coding experience with Python\\nGood understanding of distributed systems, concurrency, scalability, reliability, and fault-tolerant design.\\nHands-on experience with some combination of Kafka, OpenSearch/Elasticsearch, Solr, Cassandra, or similar distributed technologies.
Experience developing cloud-native applications and working with Kubernetes.\\nAbility to troubleshoot complex technical issues and perform performance analysis and optimization.\\nFamiliarity with AI concepts, LLM-based development tools, or AI-assisted software engineering is a plus.\\nStrong problem-solving skills and the ability to independently deliver well-defined technical projects.\\nGood communication and collaboration skills across engineering and cross-functional teams.\\nSelf-motivated, accountable, and comfortable taking ownership of components and features from design through production.
