We are currently seeking expressions of interest from experienced Senior Risk Management professionals based in the United Kingdom who may be interested in relocating to Australia to join the delivery of one of the country’s largest and most technically complex infrastructure programmes.

This landmark AU$9 billion motorway and tunnelling project based in Adelaide, South Australia will transform the region’s transport network through the delivery of major underground and surface infrastructure works, including the construction of twin three-lane tunnels excavated by three Earth Pressure Balance (EPB) Tunnel Boring Machines (TBMs).

As part of an internationally recognised delivery team operating within a highly collaborative Project Alliance Agreement (PAA) environment, we are looking to connect with experienced infrastructure risk professionals who thrive in complex engineering environments and are looking for a major international career move.

The Opportunity

This role will place you at the centre of project delivery, leading the overall risk and opportunity management strategy for a multi-billion-dollar infrastructure programme.

You will work closely with executive leadership, project controls, engineering teams and alliance partners to proactively manage technical, commercial and operational risks across one of Australia’s most significant transport infrastructure developments.

We Would Love to Speak to You If You Have Experience In:

Major Infrastructure Risk Management

• Leading risk management functions on large-scale infrastructure or heavy civil engineering projects
• Developing and managing project-wide risk and opportunity frameworks within complex delivery environments
• Delivering advanced quantitative cost and schedule risk analysis across major capital programmes

Tunnelling & Underground Construction

• Experience supporting major mechanised tunnelling projects, underground civil works or complex geotechnical infrastructure programmes
• Understanding of risks associated with TBM operations, soft ground excavation, groundwater management and underground construction methodologies
• Managing technical risks related to structural settlement, utilities protection, underground interfaces and construction sequencing

Commercial & Programme Controls

• Experience managing project contingency against large-scale infrastructure budgets
• Strong knowledge of Monte Carlo simulations, quantitative risk modelling and project controls methodologies
• Ability to translate engineering and construction risk into commercial and financial project impact

Collaborative Delivery Environments

• Previous experience operating within alliances, joint ventures, PPP environments or highly integrated project delivery models
• Comfortable working across multiple stakeholders in transparent, fast-moving and technically demanding project environments
