Job Description

What is the opportunity?

This role leads project and supplier risk management within Wealth Management Technology (WMT). Analytical manager, with expert understanding of Operational Risk management practices, providing control and advisory services to: Application Teams, Suppliers, and Wealth Management Business. Services provided cover IT & Operational Risk Analysis, Risk and Compliance, Risk awareness & advisory, and regulatory response.

What will you do?

  • Responsible for reviewing the Wealth Management Project Inherent Risk Profiles (IRPs) and recommend improvements to the document to ensure alignment and compliance with RBC’s Risk tolerance, as well as 2LOD review success.
  • Manage Supplier compliance for Wealth Management Technology as per RBC Standards
  • Ensure Supplier Risk Assessments are completed on time, and work alongside Wealth Management Technology risk colleagues to ensure relevant risks are accurately documented and logged in the enterprise Risk Register
  • Support IT Risk Leads and Senior Managers within WMT on Risk Issues and Controls within their segment to remain compliant
  • Identify compliance areas of improvement for Wealth Management Technology
  • Support and advise Wealth Management Technology stakeholders on Operational Risk matters
  • Lead and contribute to the delivery of the IT & Operational Risk Awareness program

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • Experience conducting risk assessments on enterprise applications
  • 5-8 years in IT and Operational Risk Management and Supplier Risk Management
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) skills, including strong appreciation of relationship management
  • Expert knowledge in Microsoft office suite
  • CRISC Certification

Nice-to-have

  • Knowledge of Wealth Management/Financial Services Industry
  • Knowledge of Tableau
  • Knowledge of Confluence and JIRA
  • Knowledge of GRC Tools (such as ServiceNow, Archer)
