This role is critical in enhancing investigation efficiency through automation of data collection and streamlined operational processes.

You will lead cross-functional teams through the full software development lifecycle, working closely with engineering, data, compliance, operations, and product teams to deliver scalable, secure, and auditable solutions that improve the speed, accuracy, and consistency of financial crime investigations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of software solutions focused on automating data gathering, case enrichment, alert triage, and investigator workflows.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define requirements and translate them into actionable technical plans and delivery roadmaps.
  • Coordinate delivery teams, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
  • Identify opportunities for process automation, tool integration, and data consolidation to reduce manual effort and investigation turnaround times.
  • Work closely with Data Engineering and Analytics teams to enable reliable ingestion, transformation, and access to internal and external data sources.
  • Ensure all solutions align with enterprise architecture, security, and regulatory standards.
  • Participate in project ceremonies, planning, and stakeholder updates.
  • Track and mitigate delivery risks, dependencies, and obstacles.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement, automation, and engineering excellence.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in technology delivery roles, with at least 3 years leading cross-functional delivery teams.
  • Strong understanding of financial crimes compliance, AML, fraud investigations, or related domains in a banking or regulatory environment.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering automation solutions, ideally involving case management systems, workflow engines, or investigative platforms.
  • Proven ability to work with data platforms, APIs, and enterprise integration technologies.
  • Solid understanding of agile methodologies and modern SDLC practices.
  • Experience managing delivery across multiple geographies and vendors.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

 Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with financial crime analytics and case management software platforms.
  • Experience working with cloud-based solutions and data orchestration tools.
  • Understanding of regulatory requirements (e.g., BSA/AML, FINRAC, FinCEN).
  • Technical background in software engineering or data engineering is a strong plus.
