We’re looking for an inspiring leader to head our Early Talent recruitment efforts for Personal and Commercial Banking across Canada.   Reporting to the Director, you will mentor, manage, and empower a team of recruiters to deliver an exceptional campus experience – driving high-value conversions to full- time roles. 

This is a strategic role focused on making RBC an employer of choice.  You’ll solidify our employment brand through innovative event management and targeted branding campaigns, ensuring students are aware of the incredible opportunities waiting for them.  You will be the champion for diverse talent attraction, developing critical pipelines through co-op/internships, career programs, social media, and university partnerships.  Your networking and relationship building with external organizations will be key to strengthening RBC’s successful early talent strategy

What will you do?

  • Lead, manage, coach, and develop a team of Early Talent Recruiters to ensure RBC campus recruitment goals are achieved
  • Help build the RBC Early Talent brand and ensure that all student/campus programs are aligned to the needs of the business.
  • Contribute to development and lead implementation of world-class campus recruitment strategy for positions within Canada in partnership with HR partners and business leaders
  • Leverage reporting and analytics to both maintain metrics reporting for all campus and candidate activities as well as develop insights to enrich our strategy and approach. This includes providing quarterly and year end reports and conversion rates, offers of acceptance, diversity, and school statistics.
  • Identify new academic programs and intake opportunities to enhance the RBC student talent pipeline.
  • Develop onboarding and orientation programs for students connecting them to various platforms of RBC.
  • Manage the recruitment operations process using Workday including job postings, offer letter, salary negotiations, announcements etc.
  • Remain current with industry trends, competitive knowledge and ensure RBC approach remains current and competitive in relation to recruitment social media – (LinkedIn / Twitter) act as a Champion & Ambassador while positioning RBC as a leader
  • Build and promote a strong employee value proposition and pitch on campus enticing students to want to join the RBC team
  • Remain current with industry trends, competitive knowledge and ensure RBC approach remains current and competitive in relation to recruitment social media – (LinkedIn / Twitter) act as a Champion & Ambassador while positioning RBC as a leader
  • Build and promote a strong employee value proposition and pitch on campus enticing students to want to join the RBC team!

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have:

  • Post-Secondary education in HR and/or Business
  • Project and Program Management skills
  • Previous people management / leadership experience
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to gain stakeholder confidence quickly
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to deliver presentations on campus.
  • Comfort level & engagement with Social Media (LinkedIn / X)
  • Solid technical skills (Microsoft Office: Excel, PowerPoint and Word)

Nice-to-haves:

  • Prior knowledge of P&CB and Insurance business platforms.
  • Previous Early Talent Recruitment experience
