Purpose

 

The Senior Manager Corporate Finance is a key member of the bank’s corporate finance team. This role involves supporting the VP and Director in managing financial risks, financial planning, advising on financial actions and collaborating with the Global Risk Management team on various tasks.

 

 

What You’ll Do:

 

  1.  Industry Review Reports
  • Work with the Global Risk Management team to produce an executive presentation providing a comprehensive analysis of market trends, risks, and opportunities that could impact the bank’s loan portfolio. Also, providing an update on profitability of International Banking Business Line, of the deals in the pipeline, outline the bank’s strategy for the sector, and proposed new or confirm existing Single Name Limits (SNL).
  1. Country Review Reports
  • Collaborate with the Global Risk Management team to prepare the annual review for Sovereign Risk and Cross Border exposure for the countries where the bank has operations with focus on profitability of top connections and deal pipeline.
  1. Deal Forum Participation
  • Participate in deal forums to discuss potential deals and whether these are within the banks risk appetite and whether they meet profitability targets and the bank’s overall commercial strategic goals.
  1. Credit Presentations
  • Collaborate with the Director to review credit presentations for annual reviews, exposure increases, waiver requests among others. This includes analyzing a client’s creditworthiness and making recommendations both from a credit and commercial standpoints.
  • Ensure proposed credits are within the banks policies, guidelines and that they meet minimum profitability requirements.
  1. Additional Responsibilities:
  • The Senior Manager, Corporate Finance is also expected to perform other duties as required, adapting to the dynamic needs of the bank and its clients. This includes tasks not explicitly mentioned in this job description but that are aligned with the role’s overall objectives.

 

 

What You'll Bring:

 

  •  Undergraduate degree (or higher) in business or related field.
  • Over 5 years of experience in financial services, including Business Banking and Business Credit Adjudication.
  • Detailed-oriented, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills.
  • Ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders and foster partnerships.
  • Ability to manage multiple deliverables and adapt to emerging priorities
  • Understanding of business banking client lifecycle would be an asset.
  • An inquisitive nature with confidence to challenge current state.
