Job Description

What is the opportunity?

RBC is seeking a motivated self-starter to join its Enterprise Model Risk Management team, where you will be a key member of the Governance team helping design, develop, and execution of the broad-based training and targeted training programs. You will contribute to the selection, development, updating and evaluating the effectiveness of training program, communicate effectively with the trainees and ensure the objectives are accomplished and regulatory expectations are met. You will also be responsible for assisting with model governance tasks, including updating policies, creating timely presentation for governance framework and review model identification submissions, as time allows.

What will you do?

Update policies related to training programs, including broad-based requirements and targeted training (as required by MRA). Identify role-based skill and proficiency level based on a framework for skill gap assessment Coordinate with various teams across HR, staffing, internal system support, training resources and EMRM teams and create, design and deliver training content. Collect training evidence from targeted associates and ensure the objectives are accomplished and regulatory expectations are met. Draft policy language and create timely presentation within model governance framework Review model identification and assist other model governance tasks

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have 

  • Extremely strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experienced in creating and enforcing risk policies subject to regulatory oversight
  • Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint and Word
  • Proven track record of delivering results on time, with a strong focus on meeting deadlines
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and prioritization skills
  • Self-motivated, with a strong sense of accountability and ownership

Nice-to-have 

  • Experience in project management
  • Experience in training program
  • Experience in model risk management
  • Experience working in a regulated financial organization
  • Policy development experience in a regulated industry
