Job Description

What is the opportunity?

Reporting to the Director of Global Economic Sanctions Screening Governance, the Manager Global Economic Sanctions Client Screening contributes to the management of RBC’s global sanctions program through the execution of investigation processes in connection with sanctions screening and other sanctions-related controls, including providing support with operational activities involved with RBC’ sanctions list management practices and the execution of ongoing regulatory sanctions-related reporting to Canadian regulators and relevant Canadian industry regulatory bodies.

What will you do?

  • Responsible for reviewing and investigating sanctions name screening alerts originating through RBC’s automated screening processes or through referrals received by RBC’s global units.
  • Responsible for analyzing new sanctions lists and for updating, as appropriate, the RBC enterprise sanctions lists standards, or jurisdictional specific requirements based local sanctions list standards, including supporting the Senior Manager Global Economic Sanctions Client Screening with team communications of relevant sanctions list changes, engaging with relevant AMLIT contacts, and providing support in the execution of relevant procedure documentation updates.
  • Responsible for filing sanctions-related regulatory reports with Canadian regulators and other relevant bodies, in an accurate and timely manner, as well as for maintaining documentation on frozen assets’ related oversight activities.
