We are recruiting to fill a 12 month contract for a current vacancy in our Risk Management department.

Reporting to the Director, Risk, in this role you will provide leadership to the Fraud and Privacy area to support Kindred’s business, direct fraud and privacy investigations, consult on matters of policy interpretation, lead the Fraud and Privacy team, and work with the Privacy Officer to protect against reputation risk and privacy breaches, while ensuring ongoing compliance with the Privacy Act and PIPEDA. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage ongoing compliance with the Privacy Act and Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) to protect against reputation risk and privacy breaches.
  • Ensure compliance with Kindred’s Anti-Fraud Policy to prevent and mitigate fraudulent activity and promote an anti-fraud culture.
  • Provide leadership for strategic direction of the Fraud and Privacy area. Direct internal and external members on matters of Fraud and Privacy interpretations, investigations and compliance.
  • Provide leadership to the Fraud and Privacy team, through coaching, development and empowerment to enable direct reports to realize their potential and make their fullest contributions.

Plus, you bring your qualifications and experience:

  • College diploma or university degree in a relevant field
  • Knowledge of PIPEDA and the Privacy Act
  • Ability to manage complex investigations and deliver effective reporting and training
  • 4-5 years in risk or regulatory compliance experience (beneficial)
  • Fraud Examiner Certification or equivalent professional experience (beneficial)
