Job Description

What is the opportunity?

As a Junior FX Analyst in the digital division within the Commercial FX Sales department, you will primarily be responsible for providing access to RBC DX, RBC’s proprietary online FX trading platform and supporting and growing a portfolio of RBCDX clients. 

You will use your strong communication skills to work with Business and Commercial Account Managers to ensure a smooth transition and also to train new users to use the DX platform. You will also work with your team to market foreign exchange products to RBC Partners.

What will you do?

  • Take ownership of the transition from the initial introduction of the client to Capital Markets, the setup of the account, to onboarding the client to the platform

  • Promote the use of Internet dealing to maximize productivity

  • Identify opportunities to help clients hedge foreign currency exposures to be anchored with senior FX coverage

  • Establish, maintain, and fine-tune pricing guidelines to ensure client retention

  • Maintain a Client Relationship Management (CRM) system to ensure equal access to client information by all team members

  • Liaise with internal partners in the overall management of client relationships

  • Promote RBCCM as the lead FX provider/Centre of Excellence

  • Ensure that dealings with counterparties are confidential and fairly handled

  • Maintain a high level of professional and ethical conduct and work within the framework of the Global FX code.

What do you need to succeed?

  • Desire to learn and an eagerness to make a meaningful contribution to the team environment at RBC Capital Markets

  • Sales focus to drive financial results

  • Excellent organizational skills, multi-tasking, and managing conflicting priorities

  • Strong communication skills needed to effectively train new users and to work with internal partners

  • A proficient-to-high skill level in MS Office applications is necessary

  • Some light travel for the purpose of client visitation, business development or internal meetings is likely and therefore, comfort with public transportation is necessary

  • Flexible hours to support a 7am-7pm team

  • Bilingualism (English & French) required, as you will regularly do business with partners across Canada.

Pay Range

The expected pay range for this position is:

$75,000.00 - $100,000.00
