Internal Audit, Corporate Finance Intern - 2026 Four Seasons Corporate Summer Internship

Role Summary:

The role will work closely with Risk Management and Internal Audit with planning, performing and reporting on financial and operational audits. The Intern will be performing audit work under the supervision of the SVP Internal Audit & Risk and work with various Directors and Managers in the division. Learning will come from practical application of Accounting and Audit techniques on actual work assignments. The Intern will benefit from exposure to all levels of the company’s corporate and worldwide hotel/resort management and operations practices.
 

Key Activities:

  • Supporting the team throughout the audit process.
  • Audit plan development, planning and fieldwork.
  • Assignments may also include auditing the systems access, cash cycle, review of accounting work including journal entries, corporate bank reconciliations, testing the controls of Revenue, Cash Receipts, Accounting and Computer Systems, Payroll, Purchasing & Expenditures, Inventory, etc. plus other projects. Each assignment will culminate in an Internal Audit report.
  • Analyzing internal controls, processes, and financial data to contribute to audit workpapers and reports.
  • Developing data analytics to detect errors and fraud.
  • Managing data in the audit fraud SharePoint database.
  • Participating in meetings and calls with audit stakeholders.
  • Ad hoc projects include preparing presentations, writing summary reports to management after audit is performed, including conclusion and any recommendations for improvements to procedures and controls.

What You Bring/Key Skills:

  • Previous internship or corporate work experience is a plus, but not required.
  • Strong computer database technical skills. SQL proficiency is an asset.
  • Intermediate proficiency level in MS Office applications that include but are not limited to Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong accounting, analytical, IT skills and research aptitude required.
  • Must be motivated, take initiative and work professionally with all stakeholders at Four Seasons Corporate Office and with worldwide hotels and resort properties.
  • Strong communication, organizational and planning skills are necessary.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work on multiple assignments.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to always maintain strict confidentiality and sign a Confidentiality Agreement.

Student Experience:

  • University student currently enrolled in an undergraduate program in Finance, Accounting, or a Business Administration degree majoring in Accounting.
  • Active participation and/or leadership in student organizations is a plus.

Projected Start Date: May 4, 2026

Projected End Date: August 28, 2026

Hourly Rate: $21.00 – $25.00 CAD (depending on year of study)

All roles will be a Hybrid working model, which will require 3 days per week in the Four Seasons Corporate Office located at 1165 Leslie Street, Toronto, Ontario #LI-Hybrid
