Financial Modelling Analyst
Whether it’s the school you attend, the train that gets you to work or the hospital where you’re taken care of when you’re sick, infrastructure impacts each of us every day and is the backbone of our communities and economy. Building infrastructure requires long term commitments, billions of dollars and the combined skills and expertise of hundreds, sometimes thousands, of people. Operis is proud of its contribution to this eco-system and the part we play in developing and shaping the communities, cities, provinces, and countries in which we live.
We make this contribution through our four complementary sets of services:
Our grad recruitment program welcomes analysts to work across our dynamic advisory and modelling/model audit businesses, providing you with the best possible foundation on which to build your career.
What do we offer?
Headquartered in the UK, Operis was established in 1990, with our Toronto office opening in 2014. Now as a team of 60 people working collaboratively across both offices, we are committed to growing and developing further.
Our reputation as leading advisors in project finance hinges on the quality of our people (or OPeople as we like to call them). We are dedicated to attracting, retaining, and developing open minded, enthusiastic, and driven leaders to build a diverse and talented team. We want OPeople to be empowered to pursue their career objectives and encourage each other to pursue passions. We are committed to your rapid development and will support you every step of the way along your steep learning curve. Growth at Operis is limitless, with opportunities to take part in internal and external training, workshops, and other activities, including studying for professional qualifications such as the CFA.
Life at Operis
Our culture is inclusive, friendly, and collaborative. With your mentor to guide you, from the outset you will be immersed in real-life global projects across a variety of infrastructure, renewable and energy sectors. Being hands-on will help you to quickly develop your finance and analytical skills, while offering you a broad base of experience and knowledge. Your daily tasks might include building a financial model for a renewable energy project, completing the detailed analysis of a model and associated documentation to provide a client peace of mind on their numbers, or helping a client put together the capital required for a multi-billion-dollar transit project. There are ongoing opportunities to both learn and teach others – both formally and informally – and you will constantly find yourself challenged.
We work hard, but we also like to take time out and relax together. As well as weekly company lunches and regular after-work get-togethers, we enjoy an active program of socials, such as a board-game evenings, a night out at a ball game, throwing axes or escaping from a room somewhere.
We offer a holistic and competitive compensation package structured to help ensure the health and wellness of your mind, body, and bank account.
Could you be an OPerson?
Do you:
If many of the answers are yes, and you have a numerical Bachelor or Masters degree with strong academic credentials, it would be great to hear from you. Prior knowledge of finance is not required, as we will provide you with training unmatched in its ability to turn new graduates into experts in modelling, advisory and project finance. We would love you to consider joining us and building your career with Operis.
