Director, Enterprise Architecture Governance
WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?
As one of Canada's Big Six chartered banks, regulated under the Bank Act and subject to oversight by the Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions (OSFI), with operations spanning retail banking, commercial lending, wealth management, capital markets, and insurance, we serve millions of Clients and operate in more than 30 countries worldwide.
The Enterprise Architecture Team within RBC’s Technology & Innovation division, is a key enabler of the bank's digital transformation strategy. Our architecture practice plays a critical role in ensuring technology investments are aligned, resilient, secure, and fit-for-purpose across our entire portfolio. A core mandate of this role is the ownership and continuous improvement of the bank's Application Portfolio Management (APM) program — a critical capability that provides visibility into the health, cost, risk, and strategic alignment of the bank's application landscape across all lines of business. You and your team will also ensure appropriately designed internal control measure effectiveness of key governance platforms and solutions.

Enterprise Architecture is a critical contributor to RBC’s Technology & Operations Function, responsible for defining, governing, and evolving the bank's Enterprise architecture strategy and maintaining key governance platforms. You will be the custodian of the architecture governance framework, ensuring that technology initiatives align with business strategy, regulatory obligations, and long-term technology roadmaps. You will contribute to and drive key transformation initiatives including those at the frontier of emerging technologies (AI).
