What you'll be doing
As a member of the Savings, Investing and Advice team, you'll play a key role in driving the growth and success of our retail investment portfolio. As the Director, Channel Management & Distribution Strategy, you'll be accountable for enabling strategic growth across channels, executing impactful campaigns, and providing actionable business intelligence. You'll work closely with leaders across Personal Banking, Imperial Service, and Global Asset Management (GAM) to identify opportunities, improve product penetration, and enhance both the client and advisor experience. You'll translate high-level strategy into measurable outcomes, using data and insights to inform decisions and deliver results.
At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. You'll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you'll spend 1-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote.
How you'll succeed
Distribution Strategy & Growth Enablement – Develop and implement channel growth strategies that align with product and portfolio objectives. Identify opportunities to deepen client relationships and increase deposits across Savings, Investing, and Advice products. Collaborate with distribution leaders to enhance product penetration, adoption, and advisor confidence. Transform market and advisor insights into actionable business strategies and product recommendations. Support the design of product shelf architecture and positioning for mutual funds, managed solutions, fee-based programs, and GIC integration. Monitor product usage, adoption trends, and channel effectiveness to drive ongoing improvements.
Campaigns, Offers & Portfolio Activation – Lead the planning, design, and execution of strategic campaigns and investment offers, including 120-day cycle planning. Partner with cross-functional teams to drive coordinated campaign activation and ensure alignment with client outcomes, portfolio priorities, advisor readiness, and profitability goals. Track and analyze campaign effectiveness, optimizing strategies based on measurable results.
Consulting & Business Intelligence – Serve as a strategic advisor to senior leaders, providing data-driven recommendations to influence decision-making. Analyze sales, product penetration, and market trends to identify targeted growth opportunities. Develop and enhance advisor-facing tools and communications to improve the client experience and support key portfolio objectives such as retention and income planning.
Who you are
You have a university degree. You hold a degree in Finance, Business, or a related field. Advanced credentials such as an MBA, CFA, or CPA are considered assets.
You bring extensive experience. You have 10+ years of experience in advisory, marketing, sales, or strategy within financial services.
You're an exceptional communicator. You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and you can clearly convey complex ideas to diverse audiences.
You're skilled at building relationships. You excel at influencing and collaborating across all levels of the organization to drive results.
