What you’ll be doing
As the Director, Cash Management, you will champion CIBC’s vision of being “The Leader in Client Relationships,” and support achievement of goals by understanding and staying abreast of changes in client’s industries, businesses, and objectives as they relate to the treasury/cash management function. You will be responsible for providing leadership and direction to the team and actively contributing to the successful growth and profitability of the client relationship by monitoring and managing cash management aspects. You will apply leadership skills and technical expertise to leverage the appropriate cash management product and service solutions to drive and sustain long term, mutually beneficial relationships. This role will allow you to exercise a high degree of independent judgement to oversee the origination, structuring, negotiating, and documenting of cash management product solution sets for the most complex or high value clients. You will provide subject matter expertise to ensure that clients’ day-to-day banking needs are being met at the highest level, applying expert interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills to ensure that cash management solutions are designed, installed, and delivered against this standard.

How you’ll succeed
Client First Approach- Proactively assess your clients’ needs and propose solutions to deliver to meet those needs. Provide continued partnership and support to your clients through understanding their goals and objectives. Proactively and quickly respond to client inquiries, new opportunities, and market changes.
People Leadership - Provide leadership to Cash Management Senior Managers, Managers and Associates based in Eastern Canada. Mentor and coach staff formally and informally through collaborative teamwork both within and across teams.
Portfolio Management - Design and implement short and long-term strategies to meet business growth and revenue targets. Responsible for the growth of the Cash Management portfolio based on established guidelines, and overall National strategy. Negotiate pricing agreements/contracts with clients and ensure adequate profitability thresholds are met.
Relationship Building – Responsible for developing new client relationships and expanding existing relationships. Build strong relationships with internal partners and develop a network of COIs.
Market Intelligence - Gather, maintain and distribute competitive market feedback on products and pricing.
Who you are

You can demonstrate 5-10 years’ professional experience in a commercial banking relationship management and/or sales position, preferably in a treasury/cash management role. You have experience dealing with commercial or large corporate clients that involve high levels of Cash Management/Treasury complexity.
You have strong business acumen. You have a strong understanding of credit and credit risk concepts to understand, articulate, and comply with bank standards as it relates to cash management products. You understand business and financial concepts to effectively articulate the cash management value proposition, as it relates to the impact on financial statements.
You're driven to succeed. You are motivated by accomplishing your goals and delivering your best to make an impact. You have strong sales discipline with evidence of past success.
You put our clients first. You have well-developed client and relationship management skills. You engage with the purpose of finding the right solutions.
You’re digitally savvy. You’re Proficient with Microsoft Office suite and have a strong command of software such as Excel and PowerPoint.
You have a Bachelors Degree or equivalent degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field. An MBA and/or other financial designations are assets.
It’s an asset if you’re fluent in French.
