What You’ll Be Doing
Reporting to the Senior Director, Acquisition Enablement, the Director, Acquisition Enablement develops strategic plans to drive growth and innovation in all Day to Day Acquisition channels, specifically supporting Enterprise and transformational programs. The role is critical in influencing the ongoing performance of the sales funnels for all products and services within Day to Day Banking. You will work to achieve business objectives including new account volume, revenue, profit and market share goals.
At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role you’ll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you’ll spend 2-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote.
How You’ll Succeed
Strategic planning - Develop multi-year strategic plans and roadmaps for Day to Day Acquisition Enablement. Implement new sales process and acquisition capability across all channels. Provide guidance on business plans/initiatives, making recommendations to drive sales effectiveness, operational efficiency and strategic congruence.
Product acquisition - Assess long-term viability of business-building opportunities to maintain or improve CIBC’s competitive position. Lead and manage the implementation of strategic planning and associated tactics – including new offer functionality, segment strategies and competitive product placement for Acquisition Enablement. Proactively identify short and long term product/process improvements, bring forward and deliver innovative ideas and opportunities. Support implementation of all major enterprise, strategic and acquisition related projects.
Stakeholder management - Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring alignment on strategic priorities and fostering collaboration to achieve business objectives. Act as a trusted advisor, effectively communicating insights, managing expectations, and driving consensus across cross-functional teams and senior leadership.
Leadership – Lead the team to achieve shared objectives with a clear sense of purpose and direction. Effectively execute priorities by setting the appropriate context when assigning tasks, ensuring that each individual’s role aligns with and supports the overarching goals of the line of business and our bank. Inspire productivity and drive meaningful outcomes by fostering a positive and inclusive work environment where team members feel empowered, valued, and motivated to perform at their best.
Who You Are
You can demonstrate 5 to 7 years of work experience and proven track record in developing and implementing multi-year strategic plans and driving complex business initiatives, ideally within financial services or a related industry.
You can demonstrate 2 to 5 years of work experience building consensus and influencing at the executive level, leading cross-functional teams, and managing senior stakeholder relationships to achieve strategic objectives.
