Risk Services partners with UMB management and its obligation to effectively manage compliance and related risks within the UMB family of corporations. 

This team provides timely, accurate, and seasoned judgment related to regulatory compliance risk, suggests strategies for mitigating risk, promotes a strong culture of compliance, and fulfills regulatory expectations of administering effective compliance monitoring and other mandated programs. 

  

As the Deputy Director of BSA/AML (Deputy Director), you will support the Deputy Chief Risk Officer/Director of BSA/AML’s efforts to establish and oversee an effective, risk-based Bank Secrecy Act and Anti-Money Laundering (BSA/AML) and sanctions compliance program.

How you’ll spend your time:

  • You will be responsible for overseeing the establishment of policies and procedures within the department to facilitate the execution of the program.
  • You will guide the bank’s sanctions compliance program and any required blocking reports to ensure monitoring and reporting are happening in a timely manner.
  • You will design, develop, implement, and administer an effective fraud risk management program for the second line of defense, including risk assessment, policies, training, monitoring, and reporting.
  • You will oversee and lead the risk assessment and quality assurance evaluation processes to challenge the effectiveness of the policies and procedures to then identify training needs both within the AML department as well as other lines of business.

  • You possess a Bachelor’s degree
  • You have at least fifteen (15) years professional work experience in anti-money laundering/financial crimes compliance
  • You have at least five (5) years management experience in anti-money laundering/financial crimes compliance in a midsize or large bank
  • You are a Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS)

Compensation Range:

$124,690.00 - $268,200.00
