What you'll be doing

CIBC’s Corporate Security Team is hiring a Corporate Security Coordinator Co-op. In this role, you will join CIBC's Corporate Security Insider Risk Program team and assist in providing proactive security education to employees through presentations and communications relating to the Insider Risk Program.  Subject areas include but are not limited to: investigations and fraud; security intelligence; insider threat and employee monitoring; crime prevention; threat and risk assessments; background screening; current events and business impact from a security standpoint.

  • You must be currently enrolled in post-secondary education and returning to full-time studies to be eligible. However, you do not need to be in a registered Co-Op program to be considered for a role.

  • This is a 4 month co-op opportunity.

How you'll succeed

  • Operations: Assist with Insider Risk Program operations (e.g. opening files, gathering & analyzing data, preparing operational stats etc.). Attend various meetings, including for Insider Risk. Assist with various dashboards, as required. Network and participate in other areas of Corporate Security and CIBC. Network and build relationships within the financial and security industries
  • Research and Content Creation: Assist with researching topics and preparing white papers in relation to Insider Threats. Monitor and create content for the Corporate Security page on Workplace and our Intranet site; assist with other internal communications (emails, newsletters)
  • Training and Awareness: Provide continuity and enhancement for education and awareness initiatives, relating to insider threats. Contribute to Insider Risk related to communications, training, awareness and education
  • Planning Events: Assist with various town halls, presentations and learning events (Research, PowerPoint creation, Scheduling, Producing virtual events) Track & analyze presentation data for the education & awareness program

Who you are

  • You reflect interest in a relevant background. A background or interest in Intelligence handling or criminal justice or insider threat is preferred. It would be good to have a candidate with knowledge of a global perspective/ geopolitical understanding to help with education awareness and training.
