What you'll be doing
As the Consultant, Data Reporting and Process Governance, you will build strong relationships within Enterprise Data and across Strategic Business Units (SBUs) and Functional Groups (FGs), supporting the advancement of enterprise data risk reporting and governance processes. You will manage the entire lifecycle of data risk KPI and KRI metrics—from data risk identification, metric definition, approval, reporting to ongoing oversight—by defining calculation details, supporting threshold identification, and ensuring clear visual presentation for key audiences such as Executive Data Governance Councils and the CIBC Board. Additionally, you will conduct periodic reviews to keep metrics aligned with evolving business and regulatory needs, support the creation of enterprise-level metrics, and establish aggregate calculation methods. Your responsibilities includes translating the vision of the Data Risk Dashboard to requirements, managing the requirements backlog and collaborating with the Enterprise Data Management team responsible for implementation.
A key aspect of your role will be creating and maintaining supporting documentation for governing processes including frameworks, methodologies, guidelines procedures within Enterprise Data and in collaboration with SBUs and FGs. You will ensure documentation is accurate, accessible, and compliant with enterprise standards, following a structured lifecycle that includes stakeholder identification, planning, drafting, review, approval, publication, and ongoing maintenance. Collaboration with stakeholders across enterprise is essential to support the development and management of metrics, reporting solutions, and governance processes. Success in this role requires a strong foundation in mathematics or statistics, experience in metrics creation and reporting, and proven skills in process documentation and governance.
At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. You’ll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you’ll spend 1-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote.
