What you’ll be doing

Reporting to the Director, Centralized Applications, Automation, and Governance, The Compliance Program Transformation Manager, is responsible for performing important surveillance and analytical functions to support CIBC’s Capital Markets Compliance program.  The Compliance Program Transformation Manager will support the ongoing enhancement and global harmonization of CMC’s policies and procedures, ensuring consistency and clarity across regions. This role will be responsible for reviewing and enhancing the CMC Manuals, and establishing a single, point of reference for key regulatory topics, and integrating related content from existing policies, standards, and guidelines. The Compliance Program Transformation Manager will also enhance and, where appropriate, integrate management and stakeholder reporting enabling more efficient and timely information-sharing across the organization.

How you’ll succeed

  • Policy and Procedure Management – Maintain CMC’s policies and procedures globally to ensure consistency and compliance across Capital Markets Compliance.
  • Cross-Functional Relationship Building – Collaborate with Heads of Compliance and partners across Capital Markets and infrastructure groups to build strong relationships, lead cross-functional initiatives, and deliver on key objectives.
  • Policy Reference Enhancement – Review and enhance the CMC Manual to create a comprehensive reference point for key regulatory topics and themes, integrating related policies, standards, and guidelines.
  • Regulatory Compliance Alignment – Work closely with the CMC RCM lead to ensure adherence to CIBC’s Regulatory Compliance Management Policy and related procedures.
  • Change Impact and Risk Advisory – Identify change impacts and risks to initiatives, provide strategic advice on priorities, and help remove execution roadblocks.
  • Leadership Support – Perform other duties as required by leadership to support the ongoing success of the team.

Who you are

  • You can demonstrate experience (2–5 years) in capital markets, audit, accounting, or management consulting.
  • It’s an asset if you are familiar with global financial markets, trading practices, and regulatory requirements.
  • You’re proficient with tools. You demonstrate strong proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel, enabling you to analyze and present complex information effectively.
