About Corporate Banking:
Corporate Banking is an integral part of BMO Capital Markets’ Investment and Corporate Banking group which offers corporate, institutional and government clients a complete range of financial services, including lending, equity and debt capital raising, structured finance, M&A, treasury and market risk management services, research and institutional investing. Corporate Banking is responsible for the marketing, management and monitoring of the Bank's corporate loan portfolio, and also supports the credit requirements and cross selling efforts for other businesses including derivatives, foreign exchange, cash management, and trade finance.
About Global Trade:
Global trade finance is a key contributor within Global Transaction Banking. We are experienced trade finance professionals with industry sector expertise. We help our clients navigate trade corridors and improve working capital efficiency.
We provide innovative solutions for corporate, institutional, and government clients for monetary activities related to commerce and international trade including traditional trade finance, Supply Chain Finance, Documentary Letters of Credit, Standby Letters of Credit, Demand Guarantees and Documentary Collections. Originates and structures corporate lending transactions that facilitates the financing and risk mitigation of export or import transactions where goods and services are either bought or sold and markets the Bank’s full capabilities to clients worldwide. Also provides ongoing management of the lending portfolio.
The Global Trade team works closely with the Corporate Banking lending team, which is responsible for preparing primary credit submissions. Global Trade’s focus is on the sales, marketing, and structuring of trade finance solutions, and, for select products such as Supply Chain Solutions, may support the lending team by preparing preliminary credit materials.
Summer Program Overview:
The Global Trade Summer Analyst program based in Montreal, Canada is designed for candidates in their penultimate year of their undergraduate program. Summer Analysts start the internship by completing a one-week training and orientation program. Summer analysts will then gain valuable experience and exposure to a wide number of industries from May to August in either Toronto or Montreal. In addition to this on-the-job experience, the program includes the opportunity to network across various business groups, learn about the culture of BMO Capital Markets, participate in training and learning seminars, and obtain career guidance from dedicated mentors.

Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group’s expected target for the first year in this position.
