Associate Director, Equity Derivatives Technology Business Analyst/Project Manager

What is the opportunity?

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced BA/PM to join our Equity Derivatives Technology team. This is a fast-paced role that requires an individual who can effectively bridge the gap between business requirements and technology solutions within the Global Equity Derivatives space.  The candidate should also have an ownership mindset to drive projects forward from inception to production rollout. The successful candidate will work closely with Sales, Trading, Structuring and Functions staff along with Technology partners across all levels to drive Equity Derivatives technology delivery.

What will you do?

Business Analysis & Requirements Management

• Collaborate with Sales, Trading, Quants, Structuring and Functional teams to elicit, analyze, and document business requirements for equity derivatives trading systems and infrastructure

• Translate complex business needs into clear, actionable specifications for development teams

• Develop detailed process flow diagrams, system architecture diagrams, and data flow documentation as required

• Build and maintain strong working relationships with Sales, Trading, Quants, Structuring and Functional teams at all levels.

• Manage expectations and communicate project timelines, risks, and dependencies effectively

Project Management & Delivery

• Self-manage multiple concurrent projects and priorities in a high-pressure, time-sensitive environment

• Establish and track project milestones, deliverables, and success criteria with clear accountability.

What do you need to succeed?

Must have

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, or related field along with 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst and/or Project Manager in capital markets technology environment, with some knowledge of equity derivatives products (options, futures, swaps, structured products)

• Strong proficiency in business analysis and project management methodologies and tools (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, JIRA, MS Project); knowledge of trading systems architecture, order management systems and risk management platforms

• Exceptional analytical thinking with ability to break down complex problems into manageable components

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences; collaborative approach with demonstrated ability to work effectively in team environments; proven ability to prioritize multiple competing demands and manage time effectively

• Strong self-motivation with capability to work independently with minimal supervision; excellent organizational skills with systematic approach to documentation and project tracking

• Adaptability and resilience in a dynamic, high-pressure trading environment; demonstrated ability to influence outcomes without direct authority

Nice to have

• Familiarity with LLM and use of AI tools to enhance productivity
