Job Description

What is the opportunity?

The Network Management function within Investor Services is responsible for the appointment, monitoring and maintenance of the Agent bank network in over 90 markets. In line with these responsibilities, which are impacted by innovation, service delivery expectations and geopolitical/multicultural aspects, compliance with local legal, regulatory and compliance reporting create a dynamic and challenging workplace.

The Analyst role within the Global Network Management team is to primarily support the Risk & Control function, including the business' planning, delivery of identified strategies and achieve superior business performance to support clients

           

What will you do?

Governance: Maintain, uphold, develop and deliver the Governance model within Network Management function through the following actions.

  • Act as one of the key points of contact for Network Management in respect of issue oversight, risks and delivering resolution and management on all audit and compliance items,

  • Ensure oversight, monitoring and risk analysis of ongoing agent bank relationships obligations are met (Continuous Risk Assessment / Due Diligence Visit),

  • Awareness and implementation of regulatory or market changes and other network management projects, as required (CASS/ RG 133/ AIFMD/UCITS/MIFID/CSDR, etc.),

  • Ensuring appropriate maintenance of NM policies/frameworks in line with various governance and compliance requirements, and regulatory reporting,

  • Support Risk & Control team with Network Management related Projects, Regulatory, Compliance and Audit requirements

  • Business-As-Usual contact and service point for RBC IS Network Management Service provision to other RBC entities. Managing general service queries and quarterly invoicing

Market Risks: Engage in the function to evaluate and report on Market Risks through a number of roles and assignments, which include the following.  

  • Support the Global Market Information (GMI) tool through the Market Newsflash Bulletin, periodic update of the Terms and Conditions document and Market Profiles.

  • Engage in the review of the delivery tools and mechanisms for GMI to ensure that the project to upgrade the tool, is seamless.

  • Provide support in conducting analysis and data collation of agent bank related Cost of Income, to identify opportunities for cost management, risk mitigation and increased efficiencies.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • Recent graduate or early-career professional

  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to work with large data sets and identify trends or issues

  • Proficient time management, organizational, and project management skills. Ability to pivot through working on multiple deliverables with tight deadlines

  • Highly proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint

  • Autonomous & highly motivated with ability to multi-task productively and work independently and collaboratively

  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to create clear documentation and presentations.

Nice-to-have

  • Previous internship or co-op experience in financial services, operations, or compliance

  • Proficiency in PowerBI, data visualization, or basic scripting (VBA, Python) to streamline reporting

  • Familiarity with GenAI tools for research, documentation, or data analysis.

  • Knowledge of capital markets, finance & geopolitical events

Compensation for this position (including salary and discretionary/variable payments) will be determined by factors, including but not limited to candidate's experience, skills, registration status, performance, individual goals, market conditions, and business needs.

Pay Range

The expected pay range for this position is:

$55,000.00 - $90,000.00
