Corporate Support consists of Technology & Operations, Functions and Corporate Treasury.  The Corporate Support Performance Management provides the CFO, Group Executive, and the Board of Directors with insightful and timely advice and analysis to support and influence decision making. Through value-added advice, we enable early identification of opportunities and issues and make actionable strategic recommendations that support long-term bank performance.

What will you do?

  • Assist in managing the forecast and planning process, including the annual Operating Plan and 5 year outlook for the Corporate Support Segment
  • Contribute to the analysis on month-end financial results, coordinate with sub-segments of Corporate Support to prepare daily estimate during the close cycle
  • Support the team with FTP related analysis, documentation and testing of related system rule changes. Work closely with key business segment platforms and Corporate Treasury.
  • Help build out FTP COE governance and controls

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • Working towards a Bachelor or Masters degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, CFA, or other related field
  • Strong personal skills and the ability to work effectively independently and within a team environment
  • Professional written and verbal communication skills
  • Good analytical, communication and problem solving skills
  • Highly organized with good attention to detail and very high level of accuracy
  • Ability to prioritize, handle multiple tasks under pressure and meet time-sensitive deadlines
  • Ability to think critically and “outside the box”

Nice-to-have

  • Knowledge and an understanding of financial statement analysis
  • Proficient in the full suite of Microsoft Products, including Excel (including using Excel as a tool for financial analysis) Word, PowerPoint
  • Previous experience working with a Financial Institution

In order to be eligible for these student positions, you must either: 

  • Be returning back to school after the work term end-date; or 
  • If you are not returning back to school (i.e. are graduating immediately after the work term), you must require the full work term as a mandatory component in order to graduate successfully
